It’s been a few weeks now since I brought you new music from around the world but this one I couldn’t resist.
Brought to my attention by a friend (so I cannot take the credit for it really) we are travelling to Latin America for a song which puts the party into summer. Try listening to this without doing a shoulder shuffle or nod of the head 😉
“Desde Esa Noche” (English: “Since That Night”) is a song recorded by Mexican singer Thalía for her thirteenth studio album, Latina (2016). Featuring vocals from Colombian reggaeton singer Maluma, the song was released as a digital single on January 29, 2016 through Sony Music Latin. It has received mostly positive reviews and has become a commercial success all over Latin America and the United States, where it peaked at number 16 on the Hot Latin Songs chart and number 4 on the Latin Pop Airplay chart, published by Billboard.
It has gained popularity in the past few months and even reached No.1 on the Ecuador Latin Charts. Since I was played this song I have had it on repeat all week and it is firmly stuck in my head. Not that I am complaining about it, it’s a great song.
The video is also quite cool with Thalia strutting around her bedroom, sitting on her stairs, couch and Maluma in a tattoo parlour before they both meet a trendy nightclub. This video has it all! Check it out now below:
