‘Good Thing’ is the debut single from the nation’s favourite child actor Maisie Smith, who we saw grow up on the set of the award winning BBC show Eastenders as Tiffany Butcher.
No longer a little girl, Maisie proves she is also no longer just an actress but a talented & beautiful pop star in the making.
“I’ve always wanted to make a cool pop record that people could relate to, dance to and feel good listening to. By teaming up with my producer Darren Martyn to make ‘Good Thing’, I feel like we achieved that. I am so excited to finally let people hear it!” Maisie Smith
Maisie (who lives with her family in Leigh on Sea, Essex) has always had a passion for music. She plays the guitar, composes, dances & choreographs her own routines. And all whilst studying for her GCSEs! She has been releasing cover tracks on her YouTube, such as her amazing cover of Justin Bieber ‘Let Me Love You’.
Maisie Smith started her acting career at the tender age of four, starring alongside Scarlett Johannsson in The Other Boleyn Girl where she played Queen Elizabeth I. She started her long Eastenders role at 6, playing Tiffany Butcher where she won various awards.
Maisie has also appeared as a guest in shows including Children in Need, Bookaboo, Sam & Mark’s Big Friday Wind Up and Hacker Time and is confirmed as a guest on The Michael McIntyre’s Show later this year.
Take a listen to the brand new single which is set for release on November 25th right here now:
One of the biggest bands on the planet are back with a brand new chart smash.
One Republic, who brought us the anthem that is ‘Apologize’ feat Timbaland as their first release a number of years ago now, are back with a brand new song called ‘Kids’. I am tipping this for the Top Ten around the world following up their chart Number 1 with ‘Counting Stars’.
‘Kids’ is released this month and the brand new video see’s the band travel through a cool city until they reach their true destination, a stage of course.
The chart topping quartet return with a remake of their biggest hit to raise awareness about all the problems currently facing the world and bring along a whole host of famous faces to help out.
The remake is one of the best charity singles I have heard, taking a classic pop song and creating something even more special out of it. The video features many clips and pictures from recent news stories including the young dead Syrian boy washed up on the beach and overhead jets dropping bombs on undeserving people.
The song now features vocals from not only the original Black Eyed Peas members but also Mary J Blige, Jessie J, Nicole Scherzinger and Justin Timberlake to name a few.

We all remember Passenger’s voice from the hit of the year back in 2014 ‘Let Her Go’ and he returns to our ears with his new single ‘Anywhere’.
The track pulled from his forthcoming album ‘Young As The Morning, Old As The Sea’ is an upbeat song with a very catchy hook, perfect for the roof down drives along the coast line (wait, I’m dreaming it’s sunny but that is definitely not the case in Ireland right now).

I brought you the audio to this new release a few weeks ago and now we finally have a pretty cool video to go with it.
Fresh from her collaboration with Jonas Brother Nick on their hit ‘Close’ which raked up a number of weeks in the Top Ten both here and in the US, Tove Lo is ready to go it alone with ‘Cool Girl’.
The video features Tove Lo and friends cavorting on cars, burning motel rooms and breaking out into spontaneous dance routines at various locations around the sun kissed state.
Tove Lo is definitely an artist to keep an eye on and check out her previously released music now on YouTube, you won’t be disappointed:
This Monday I am bringing you some album tracks which you may not have heard yet but I reckon we will hear a lot more of them as I am predicting they could be possible next singles for these artists.
First up it’s Shawn Mendes with his acoustic track ‘Three Empty Words’. A nice song, stripped back to just his vocals and a guitar.
Next up its the turn of Tove Lo with her new single ‘Cool Girl’. There is no official video for this one but the audio is cool enough for us for now. This has been slated for release as her next single coming in September so watch out for the new video very soon.
John Newman has hit after hit and this one is another I am predicting to hit the Top Ten in the coming weeks. ‘Ole’ is set for release this month and is a cool summer vibe, laid back track from his new album.
One of my favourite bands is Bastille and one of my new favourite songs is their new single ‘Fake It’. Keep a look out for the new video set to drop later this week. This follows their amazing comeback single ‘Good Grief’.
You may remember Aurora from a few featured tracks including ‘Half The World Away’ from a few years ago. Here is her new single and it is a dance video version for you until the real video hits later this month. Great song and cool video.
It’s a brand new month, so what better way to start than with some new music.
August is typically known to be the last month of summer holidays (boooooo) and when Ireland sometimes gets a bit of sun (yaaayyy) but it probably won’t happen so don’t get your hopes up. What the month does produce is the last of the summer feeling beats and we start to hear what’s in store for the next 4 months in the lead up to the Big Red Guy coming.
Justin Bieber has thrown out this summer chill out track just at the last second with Major Lazer and voice of the moment MO. Still no video but I’m sure we will get one soon.
The Chainsmokers are on a roll right now and this one, Closer, is keeping them steadily on it. Paired with a typical Baywatch beach shoot it is a great song for summer. It kind of remind of a Nelly or Flo Rida song but cannot think of it. Any help?
Lastly on my trio of delights (wow it sounds like something off Come Dine With Me) is two big names teaming up on a cracking song to round of the summer months. Martin Garrix, the hit DJ and producer teamed up with guest vocalist extraordinaire Bebe Rexha.
Happy August everyone!

Olly Murs has returned with new music this week and apparently ‘doesn’t know love til it tears you apart’.
He has just dropped the new music video for his new single ‘You Don’t Know Love’. Could this be about his recent split with his long term girlfriend? The video follows Murs through L.A from the bedroom to the desert and from the boulevard to the beach, pretty perfect way to get over someone I say!
The monochrome video also features a shirtless Olly which I’m sure all his fans will be pleased about. The singer lost his presenting role on The X Factor after just one series but has said he is happy as he gets to focus on his music now.

Forget about Lorde and Sia because I have found the next big thing! A powerful vocalist with an epic new song and great video. NYC electro-pop artist STALKING GIA has unveiled her “dreamily disconsolate” video for her hit single “Second Nature”.
“I’ve been watching this video play in my mind (and in my dreams) for a while now… The video creates a dichotomy between the late-night sleepless reality in Brooklyn and the surreal dream sequence, where I am completely at one with the earth, in the chorus. We can all relate to dreams where we are running from ourselves and searching for the truth… trying to escape our inner fears and doubts.” – said Gia of the new video.
With just over 400k streams on Spotify, “Second Nature” recently reached #1 on the Hype Machine chart and received rave reviews from many of the Hypem blogs. The track was also playlisted on Spotify’s New Music Friday and Weekly Buzz playlists, as well as Spotify’s US Viral 50 chart where it reached #32, and hit #26 on the Global Viral 50 chart.
“Second Nature” is Gia’s first release since her hit “Born Free” came out in 2015, which followed her 2014 debut “War Paint”. So she may have been around a while but this will be her breakthrough hit, mark my words.
